Hokti's Recipe Book
Hokti’s Recipe Book of Creek Indian Foods was published in 1970 and features traditional recipes and cooking techniques from the Muscogee (Creek) Nation. It was written by Beulah Simms and illustrated by Ben Chaney, who are both Mvskoke. Simms named this book in reference to his loving mother who passed these recipes down to him. This recipe book remains a significant cultural document for preserving Muscogee foodways.
