Seed Distribution Program
The purpose of the seed distribution program is to enable tribal food sovereignty. It is also a program that, in the future, will depend on the broader tribal community for the continuation of the traditional crops and food, rather than the tribal government exclusively. In order to meet this goal, the seed program will give growers traditional seed varieties and offer assistance and resources to ensure that these seeds are successfully grown. By participating, growers can reconnect with their tribal heritage and ensure that knowledge of traditional crops is passed down to future generations.
Apply to the program by filling out our grower’s agreement form below. For more information, please contact extension@cmn.edu or ksanmann@cmn.edu
